When
we talk about the Arab revolutions which took place early this year and overthrew
three dictators right now , form their
power while other still struggle to maintain their position , it was a surprise
to the rest of the world that the Arab population finally woke up , when we
talk about that , no one could miss the foreign intervention in these
revolutions , although it varied from one revolution to another, I want to talk
about my home country Libya and about the Libyan revolution , our revolution
started as a peaceful demonstration , it was inspired by the revolutions of
Tunisia and Egypt, people where
demanding their rights, their freedom and their dignity but they faced by
barbaric repression , so it tuned to an
armed revolution , especially when the people saw the mercenaries being brought
to the country by the former regime and the story went on as a fighting between
the people and pro- Gadhafi forces, the cities were attacked one after another
and people were suffering the hell under the regime, the world leaders were
ordering Gadhafi to withdraw his troops to there barracks, one day Gadhafi send a big armed convoy to
Benghazi a stronghold city of
opposition, there was a massacre going to happen, but thanks to coalition air
forces which prevented that.
NATO
intervened in Libya to protect civilians from the regime mandated by the UN
resolution , NATO jets were flying over to protect us from our own army our own
soldiers , from people who share us our nationality and our land a people who
sward to protect their civilians and their land
, it's so sad .
We
were feel the security when their jets flying over when they are bombarding ,
they are shared us in our revolution, for them we are very grateful and for
them we send our concrete salutation .
Although
it was pretty bloody situation ,the people having no other options, to oust
this dictator from his power , and from the beginning I knew it won't be easy
at all.
I
say that because I saw many people especially from the Arab world, crying over the foreign intervention, I ask
them what you could provide to protect Arab civilians from the their regimes ,
now look to Syria , there's no foreign intervention, please let me see you do
something instead of usual crying.
I
hope this crisis to change the minds of the people to be more respectful to
human rights , to law and to social justice and inshallah Libya will be modern , peaceful ,
open and democratic country.
